Bridge2Uni is a peer‑counseling project that supports blind and visually impaired pupils in their transition from school to university.
The project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme and coordinated at the Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz, in cooperation with school experts and partner universities from Austria, Germany and Italy.
The main idea of Bridge2Uni is to match pupils with current university students who are blind or visually impaired. These “peer advisors” help pupils learn about the challenges and opportunities of university life, practise using assistive technology, and feel more confident about making the transition.
